Check an AI Image Before Sharing It

Follow these steps

   Decide how the image will be used: a practice exercise, an illustration, a social post, or a business advertisement. A convincing image can still be inaccurate or inappropriate for the message.

   Zoom in on text, faces, hands, signs, and background objects. Read every word. Fix incorrect dates, prices, contact details, or product claims before sharing. If you cannot fix important text reliably, add it separately in an editor.

   Check that the image does not disclose private addresses, identifying documents, children’s locations, or customer information. If you supplied a reference photo, confirm you had permission to upload and use it.

   Look for accidental logos, misleading product depictions, or a recognizable person appearing to endorse something. Do not treat an AI output as evidence that an event happened or a person used your service.

   Review the image tool’s current usage terms for your intended use. Tool permission and other people’s rights are separate questions. Do not promise that an image is legally cleared merely because a generator produced it.

   Write a caption that gives honest context. If a realistic illustration could be mistaken for a real event or photograph, make its generated nature clear and follow the destination platform’s labeling rules.

   Add a short description for readers who cannot see the image. Describe the meaningful content rather than every decoration. Keep a copy of the final file and the permission information you relied on.
